Sujeet K. Sinha
Dr. Sinha received his early educations from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur (India) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore graduating with a BSc in Metallurgy (1988) and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (1991) respectively. He graduated with a doctorate degree from Imperial College London, UK (1994) and an MBA (1999) from the University of British Columbia, Canada. He has worked as a researcher at Imperial College London, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg (USA) and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba (Japan). Since 2001, Dr. Sinha has worked as a faculty academic staff in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore.
Dr. Sinha's teaching has been in the area of engineering materials with a focus on their applications in mechanical engineering. In research, he has worked extensively in the area of tribology of polymers, composites, coatings and lubrication. He has published more that 120 research papers and edited two books in the field of tribology. He has been invited to present his research results at many international conferences including a Keynote Talk at the 4th World Tribology Congress 2009, Kyoto, Japan.
